Free Public Event
Thursday April 29, 7 pm
Ed Video, 40 Baker St., downtown Guelph
In the summer of 2009 construction at the proposed Hanlon Creek Business
Park was shut down and occupied by dozens of people and supported by hundreds more through the city and the province. Long standing concerns had been ignored for too long – an Old Growth forest, endangered species, drinking water, ongoing Colonialism, and the general direction the world is headed. This action built on the work of hundreds of people who have been defending the hanlon creek for more than a decade.
At 7:00 PM On April 29 2010, in Ed Video (40 Baker street) participants in
last summers action will be discussing what happened, why it was significant
and most importantly where to go from here because the battle to protect the
Hanlon Creek is just beginning.
Come out to share your ideas and develop an action plan so as to ensure that the Hanlon Creek stay exactly the way it is, wild and undeveloped.
